A signed booking form will be required before undertaking any project. The booking form lists details of the task and any specific requirements, the hourly rate or expected cost and my confidentiality clause, all of which when signed indicate the client's acceptance of my Terms & Conditions. Should your requirements change before or during commencement of the work, I reserve the right to amend my fees accordingly. You will be notified of any amendments to cost before work is continued.
In some instances, e.g. time consuming/large projects/web design, 50% of the full fee will be expected in advance, with the balance/full payment payable strictly within 14 days of completion. If the bank returns a cheque, the client will be responsible for all bank charges resulting from the returned cheque.
Final responsibility for proof-reading errors in completed work rests with the client. I can accept no responsibility for errors found after submission but will happily correct any found within a reasonable time scale. If errors are found in the work, they will be rectified free of charge but they must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of completed work. Should any errors be found in the work, I will be liable for the cost of the work only - no further liability is acknowledged.
I am not responsible for the end use of any document produced or edited by me. Clients are solely responsible for its appropriate use, including abiding by any copyright laws, plagiarism laws and publishing requirements. I am not responsible for the content of any document supplied to them. I will assume no responsibility for any material supplied by a client and reserve the right to return the work should I become aware of inappropriate use. I retain the right to reject work for any client which involves material I find to be illegal, immoral or objectionable.
Should you wish to cease your agreement with Osborne Office Aide, 28 days written notice is required. Any outstanding payments would then be due immediately.
Back-up copies of client files are kept for a period of one year only. After that time, they will be deleted.
I advise all clients that original documents should be sent via a traceable method of delivery - either by post office special delivery or courier.
I will not at any time or in any manner, either directly or indirectly, use for my personal benefit, or divulge, disclose, or communicate in any manner any information that is pertinent to a client. I will protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential.
I understand that confidentiality is a sensitive issue for clients and I am happy to sign any confidentiality agreement a client may require.
